How is A Good Jeans Made

As we all know, the production process of jeans is very complicated. Hez-ventures,as a denim factory with more than 20 years of production experience, we strictly control every production process from fabric selection, trousers sewing, to washing. Wondering how is a good jeans made?
The production of jeans can be roughly divided into the following 6 steps, of which printing is a relatively niche process, and most jeans do not use this process:

1丨Dyeing

The biggest difference between denim and other fabrics is that its color can be washed out.In the final washing process, its color will be washed away to varying degrees, gradually appearing a sense of hierarchy. Of course, in the process of wearing it naturally, its color will also fade. For example, raw Denim are jeans that have not been washed, and the friction during wearing will also cause natural color fading.

Why does it fade? This has to be traced to dyeing.
The denim yarn is passed through the machine at a constant speed, and it can dye as many colors as possible. Ordinary dyed fabrics are made of yarn that is woven into cloth and then soaked in dye. It can be simply understood that the denim is dyed without soaking, and the dyeing is only on the surface; the dyed fabric is soaked and dyed, and it is fully colored inside and out.
From a single yarn point of view, the denim yarn is only colored on the surface, and the inside is still white; while the ordinary dyed yarn is fully colored, with the same color inside and outside.

Therefore, it is not difficult to understand that with washing or wearing naturally, the jeans will gradually fall off the surface color, revealing the white inside, and the amount of friction and the degree of depth also form a layered sense of color shedding, and this, It is the unique charm of denim.

2丨Weaving
Many people think that denim is a piece of indigo fabric, but if you look closely, you will find that although it is a raw denim, there are many scattered white spots on the denim. This is because when weaving denim, indigo yarn is not used for warp and weft, but white thread is added.

The addition of white yarn can make the look and feel better, and with good quality cotton yarn, the whole piece of denim looks full of luster.

3丨Printing
As mentioned earlier, printing is a relatively niche process, and most jeans (even denim shirts, denim skirts) are not used.With the diversification of jeans, printing is not uncommon in jeans. Combining printing with denim not only increases the sense of design, but also softens the denim, making it soft and flexible.

The printing adopts a special color-fixing process, which will not fade with friction or washing, but on the contrary, denim will, so a pair of printed jeans,the longer you wear, the clearer the print will be.

4丨Sewing
All clothes must have this step of sewing. So here is just a brief introduction to a small detail: The Edging Strip.
We observe our clothes and look at the seams between the fabric and the fabric. Most of the clothes are Overlock, and if we use the Edging, the lining of the clothes can be made more neat, and the thread is not easy to fall off. Of course The cost will also rise, so this process is mostly used on some more expensive clothes.

5丨 Pre-washing Process
When we see the jeans after washing, there are Fold, washing, grinding white, old, worn-out, which are inseparable from the process before washing.
The most common is whiskers, which are actually wrinkles created by the natural wearing of a human, and it uses sandpaper to rub the color off the jeans.

The large area of whiteness on the jeans can also be polished by sandpaper.

And the effect obtained by these grinding and fading will get the final appearance after washing.

Some people especially like the natural feeling of micro-hairs and abrasions on clothes, so there are special techniques to create this effect.

As for another kind of shabby feeling, it is to cut a hole directly with a blade, and then pull out the thread inside at will. If the grind has a retro feel, the ripped hole has a strong street style.
Ripped, in fact, is also a style of denim.

These processes are all handmade, relying on the experience and craftsmanship of the master. They will fine-tune according to the difference in size of different sizes. It can be said that there are always subtle differences between each pair of pants. They are all unique, but also Try to ensure visual consistency.
6丨Washing
After washing, the difference between denim and denim is very big, but you can't see it before it is washed, because the denim fabric before washing is the raw denim color.
And the polishing done on the jeans before will show up after washing.
Even with the same style of jeans, the difference in fabrics, the different applications of the process before washing, and the difference in washing water can all lead to ever-changing styles.
Even if the first 5 steps are exactly the same, but the washing time, temperature, or chemicals are different, it will also result in a completely different style of jeans.
